Clearly in love with Clarity Vitamin C Serum

I recently received a full sized product (1 fl oz) of Clarity Vitamin C Serum from Eu Natural to review. It's actually something that's been on my shopping list. I have past acne marks that could use some fading and sensitive skin and heard great things about Vitamin C serums. They knocked the ball out of the park with this bottle of home runs.

About the Product:
"Clarity Vitamin C Serum antioxidant blend features Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, and Herbal Extracts, shown to smooth the skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and treat dark spots. Stimulate collagen production for radiant and youthful looking skin." Read more about the product's benefits here: http://eunatural.com/clarity-vitamin-c-serum-for-face/

I use about 5 drops every morning to my face. The serum has a hint of a fragrance like honey. Which I love. It absorbs into your face within seconds and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth after. I follow with my daily moisturizing cream, and CC cream and I'm good for the day!

The price is really not bad at $39.95. And now that I've had time to review it  over 2 weeks, in terms of fading dark spots, it beats out Clinque's Even Better Dark Spot Corrector for $49 (I used that particular serum for over 1 year with no noticeable difference.) and even Caudalie's Vino Perfect serum priced at $79, and a total opposite compared it to another paraben free product like Yes to Grapefruit Correct & Repair serum $19.99 (that one smells, it's sticky and flaky).

I saw improvements with pigmentation fading away from day one. I'm hooked. And I've only had Clarity Vitamin C for about 2 weeks! Maybe it's the 72% organic ingredients, maybe it's all the vitamins, maybe it's because it's distributed in San Jose, Ca (good things come from here ;). I don't know, but it's a keeper.

Guess what? I have a discount for us all to use! You can purchase the Vitamin C Facial Serum on Amazon and it's a sweet 15% off with code: EUN15OFFGrand total of $33.96 after the code is applied.

*Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I was gifted this product for review by Brand Backer & Eu Natural. All opinions are ALL me ;)

Mani Monday: Sak it to me! Saks Fifth Avenue Black Nail Polish Trio

If you follow me on Instagram @ TheFashionPalate you may recognize this picture! Over Easter weekend I stopped by the Gilroy Outlets, Saks Off 5th ,which is the outlet store. They had the most AMAZING BOGO offer. It was actually Buy One (any red tag item throughout the store) and get TWO free (red tag items).
What a deal right?
So make sure you are following me or you could miss out on these crazy deal alerts!

I bought one headband ($17) got one of them free along with the Black Nail Polish Trio
(A $25 value!).
The polishes all take 3 coats each. 1-2 coats is just too sheer.

Powder Bleu
My favorite color out of the trio.
Perfect blue pastel creme.

A light pistachio pastel shimmer.

Fresh Love
A pale glossy pink, almost towards the nude side (at least on me! :D)

This set of pretty spring colors was such a score. Don't they remind you of french macarons?
If you are looking to buy a set, check out your nearest outlet or eBay.

Hope your Mani Monday was a success!
If not, coffee always help...

Tickled Pink

I noticed I was having a pink moment over the weekend.
So I ran with it, especially since there's no escaping my love for pops of pink,
be it in treats, nail polish or in any fashion really!
This was my first time baking M&M's cookie, it won't be the last.
Pastel pink is a true feast for the eyes. Even better in cookie formation.

Capturing the essence of the Easter Bunny aka Marc Jacobs phone case. I used three Butter London nail lacquers: Snog, Slapper and a dash of Leccy sponged onto the tips.
I was going for that dipped in dye Easter Egg look.

I had fun adding dashes of pink in my #OOTD.
Light pink lips, J'adorable Peter Som for Kohl's tee and my favorite handbag-Kate Spade NY.

Head over heels with pink.
Even taking a break I can't escape that color palette.
I'm tickled pink with this pastel set of "Saks Fifth Avenue Black"polishes I scored for FREE from the Off 5th Outlet on Saturday. The promo was buy one get two free, so I picked up a few headbands while I was at it, very Gossip Girl inspired.

I know it's not Wednesday, but I still wear pink. ;)

Zara: Feeling Pretty Under $30

Ever since Zara opened up at Westfield Valley Fair mall I make a point to drop in each visit.
I'm super addicted, but you know I like my deals.

First up, a little outfit that would be perfect for Easter activities this weekend or a BBQ party.

AND it will have you "Feeling Pretty Under $30"!

1. Top with Frilly Sleeve $29.90
2. Soft Clutch in Sea Green $29.90
3. Shorts with Side Frill in Greens $25.90
4. Block Heel Ballerina in Salmon $25.99

I also spotted the new arrivals from Zara and Zara Trafaluc in-store and just had to share the one's that are all under $30 for your shopping pleasure.

A collection of awesome large clutches, that say what we are all thinking.
Hello-$29.90! It's a steal for  a dupe of the runway versions.

I love these bright colors together for the summer.
The high waisted cobalt shorts are a must. I bought these to wear with the shorter boxy cut shirts that are all the rage right now. I feel like the high waisted aspect balances out the look.

Pretty and soft tees for $19.90.

This one made me LOL. They ran out of smalls in-store! Gah!
But they are in-stock online...Printed T

Cute tees under $10!

Love these tropical graphic tees. And they are linen, very easy breezy for the summer.

Pretty in pink for cocktail hour. This calls for the high waisted shorts!

Bonsoir...perfect bag for after hour events.

Super cute neoprene like crop tops. Beach friendly and water balloon fight proof!

What's on your shopping list this weekend?

Ipsy Glam Bag: April 2014

This month I'm rocking out with Ipsy Glam Bag. April's bag theme is Beauty Rocks!

$10 for 5 beauty products. Not bad. And I love the goodies I got this time!

This is quite the cosmetic loot this time around. Things I actually needed surprised me! One drawback, I got sent a repeat item. Ipsy sent me an email right away about my repeat Coastal Scents eye shadow makeup brush. I have a choice of 500 Ipsy pts or an extra product in my next bag for May.
I haven't decided yet, what do you think I should do?

1. COASTAL SCENTS Medium Shadow Brush. (Giving it to a friend since it's a repeat. Good brush though, I use mine daily!)

2. StarLooks Luscious Long Wear Lip Liner Pencil in Natural. I've been actually needing a lip liner, hoorah! It says 8 hrs wear but I have yet to try it on that long. We shall see. I don't personally care though if it lasts that long, I just need a good line and base to work with. While it says "Natural" it's def a pinkish nude. Still pretty, but I do wish it was nude.

3. Elizabeth Mott. Pop! Goes The Shadow in Champagne. This is a great shimmer neutral shadow that will work for anyone. It's buildable but I'm a simple gal so I would wear this on it's own for an everyday put together quick look. Comparable to Kitten by Stila. Which is a shade I lived on throughout college, no joke.

4. Dr.Brandt Microdermabrasion. "Polishes away dead skin cells. Leaves skin radiant." This product is worth $78 for the 2 oz full size!! This is beyond a great deal to get this in my bag. I tried it the night I got it, feels so fresh, I can't wait for the next use. I'm all for exfoliants and skin care that will brighten my skin and diminish acne marks. Keep sending these my way Ipsy!
Creamy with teeny tiny bits of the grit for microdermabrasion factor yet not gritty at all, very pleasant exfoliation.

Last but not least!

5. Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-on eye pencil travel size in Black Velvet (waterproof) a $20 value for full size. This is unlike my other eye liner pencils, very soft and creamy when you apply it and then bam! It's dark, smooth but doesn't budge! I've had such a hard time finding an eyeliner that won't melt away or smudge against my eyelids. This is exciting. :D I was pleasantly surprised.

Playing Dress Up: Peter Som for Kohl's

The long awaited Peter Som for Kohl's by DesigNation finally hit stores yesterday! I was super excited to shop, since the lookbook outfits just looked amazing. But I'm always a little hesitant to get too pumped up, I don't want to be let down. I have to tell you guys I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. The clothes felt great, the quality was there, the casual effortless chic of St. Barth's was apparent. Perfection.

Just to let you know if you shop online only there is XXS available for the first time in a designer collection! I always complained that the sizes were much to big for me in previous collections. But the things I tried were very much TTS.

For reference I tried on Size 2's and XS in-store. I tried a total of 16 pieces.

It's time.

Playing Dress Up in Peter Som for Kohl's:

Printed Shift Dress $52.50 (Orig $70)
I wasn't going to try this on, typically not my style, but it's very pretty. The stripes at the bottom is a striking contrast. A lot of ladies will want to wear it everyday.

Color Block Flounce Hem Dress $51 (Orig $68)
I thought it was cute in the lookbook. Even cuter in person. The material is soft yet thick cotton. Black and white with a flare, always a winner for me. This is something I want to come back for.

 Striped Romper $48 (Orig $64)
This was on my must-have list. And I had to have it. It's cute, it has stripes and pockets and it's going to look great belted. I like the fact that the shorts are high-waisted and roomier. I'm not a fan of skin tight short shorts so this is one classy romper ;)

Buttons on one shoulder for extra cute.
(Fyi: Romper comes with a backup button too).
Also it comes in black and a palm printed version, online only. I wish I could try it on!

Striped Maxi Dress $58.50 (Orig $78)
I loved this in the lookbook, but not on me. It's too loud. It also comes in black and navy and white so those would probably work better for everyday wear. I do like the sheer panels at the bottom, how trendy is that? The material is comfy and stretchy but you can see every line of fabric underneath, so you would have to wear nude & smooth undergarments.
(BTW, I'm 5'3 ish? and I'm wearing it with a short heel)

Tye Dye Shirt Dress $55.50 (Orig $74)
I don't do tye dye, I just don't. But I had to try it on for the sake of fashion and that Kate Bosworth wore it. KB wore it better in this case. See pic here. Other than it not being my style, this is well made dress with unique details, like a mid sleeve, tye dye belt and subtle ruffles at the bottom.

Embroidered French Terry Sweatshirt $43.50 (Orig $58)
& French Terry Soft Pants in Indigo $36 (Orig $48)
Put these two pieces together and call it a day. This is perfect for a flight or for running errands. Looks effortless chic with heels too.

The Pants are waaaay soft, I prefer them scrunched up. They fit perfect.
The sweater is too cute. It's a boxier cute and the embellishments were spot on and makes the sweater shirt worth the price. Here's a close up:

Marled Tape Yarn Sweater $43.50 (Orig $58)
I like this sweater. Nice for layering over dresses or rompers for a bit of extra warmth.
The moderate high low makes it stylish.
 J'adorable Striped Tee $30 (Orig $40) & Eyelet Shorts $33 (Orig 44)
Just J'adorable!!! The tee was on my list and it was a no brainer, I'm wearing right now as I type. I love stripes, tees and cute sayings. The XS is a little loose but that's fine, it depends on what look you want. A XXS I'm guessing would be tighter I'm sure. I might just get both sizes, one as a back up ;)

The shorts are super cute. Not on my radar but they fit well.
The only thing is they are VERY much see through.

 Postcard Sweatshirt $37.50 (Orig $50)
The blue sleeves and back match the soft pants I tried on earlier. The fabric on front is silky. It's actually really cute, nothing I would normally try on. If you are into this kind of print, go for it!

Striped Sweater Tank $37.50 (Orig. $50)
Looks better far away or in photos. I'm not too crazy about in person. Very thin material which is nice for the summer, but seems like it could snag easy.

 Motorcycle Jacket $58.50 (Orig $78) & Charmeuse Soft Pants $37.50 (Orig $50)
First off this looks kind of awesome together right?
The jacket is a soft cotton material with gold zipper details. The gold details really make this a stand out piece. I would've bought it but I just bought the white moto from the Catherine Malandrino collection on clearance. The sleeves are bare so it's great for scrunching up.

Close Up:

As for the pants. They have pineapple prints on them. Nuff said.
TTS, feels like silk and the drawstrings have little gold accents at the end. This is a must-have piece. I'll come back for them.

Striped Faux Wrap Top $30 (Orig $40)
I love the soft stretch of the material and it drapes nicely. Easy chic tank for the summer!

Printed Charmeuse Tank $36 (Orig $48)
Another favorite! Stripes and Pineapple print! Ugh I love it. I'll be searching for this come clearance time if it stays around. Fits a little larger, I personally would go down one size because the arm holes are a little loose and bigger.

As you can tell I'm overall pleased with the clothes and the style (the prices...ehh on sale they are just fine for me!). I'm a casual girl after all. The clothes will just be perfect for vacations this summer.
Wearable and comfortable for a flight or a day dream at home.
