Ipsy Glam Bag: Oct 2013

Woo Hooo it's Ipsy time!
*Spoiler Alert: Don't continue reading if you like being surprised by your bag.

I received my October Ipsy Glam Bag and I'm so excited to share with you what I was surprised with for only $10 a month!

October Ipsy theme: The Art of Beauty.

The makeup bag is so cute, and with my art background this is my fave bag yet.

The beauty contents. This month I received 5 products. Nail polish, hair style product, cleanser, eye shadow and a eye shadow brush. I love the brush and eye shadow combo. Good thinking Ipsy!

Exciting..... :D

Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics: Navy Shimmer.
A $14.99 value
I'm crazy about navy and I don't currently have a shade of it right now so this was nice.

 Coastal Scents: Medium Shadow Brush
$2.49 Value
Super Soft brush with pony hair bristle. I could always use another brush for my eyes, and I like that it's smaller and more precise than the one I have now. Perfect for adding shimmer to the brow bone.

Hmmm...not too crazy about this navy eye shadow anymore. Not seeing much blue. I can see how this would be nice for a smokey eye though.
I will try it again later, maybe it was the brush?

10 wipes, Value $5.99
I like that its paraben free and biodegradeable. But to be honest I can't tell the difference with face cleansing wipes. I've tried Burt's Bees, Simple and now LA Fresh. I can tell you that this one smells good! Like raspberries...even though it's supposed to be coconut.

I tested the wipe out over my eyeshadow swatch. Clean, sparkling fresh!

Ah, my favorite item in the bag.
Sexy Hair: Spray Clay
$4.99 value for 1.4oz  $16.79 for 4.4oz

Good hair day much?
I think this is scaled on 1-10 so it has a 1 for Shine and 7 for Hold.
What I didn't expect was there to be so much volume.
My hair amplified 2x's and the hold is very soft and flexible. My hair feels so good.

Zoya Nail Polish: Mason
$8 Value
I'm looking forward to applying this glossy magenta soon. This color is part of the Cashmere & Satins Fall 2013 collection. Plus it's BIG5FREE - free of toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). I have nothing like this color and I'm so happy Ipsy sent me a polish this time! :D

About a $36.50 value this month.

    1. Awe darn! Let me know how the hair gel is, I'm going to scope out Marshalls for the spray. I noticed they get Sexy Hair products periodically. I'm looking forward to your post! Thank goodness we got the polishes right!?
