NYFW Faves: Day Six

Hello day six of NYFW! So. many. good. shows today.
There was Marc by Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, Tory Burch, Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta...

But alas I chose two designers to highlight as my fave. Not to say I didn't love the other collections! Today was definitely a "dress for it"" day.

NYFW Faves: Day Six
09.10.13

Jenny Packham
Spring 2014

Disco Chic. Teased hair, gorgeous gowns, glimmer in all the right places, great palette.
 What's not to love?
"The designer was inspired by the film Picnic at Hanging Rock, which is set in the Edwardian era but was filmed in the 1970s. Both influences can be seen in the movie, clothing collection, and beauty look." -Popsugarbeauty.com

 Chatreuese my heart.

 So good. I picked two.

Love this blue tone. And the soft pleats on the top.
Looks great with Loubies (see models shoes walking back).

 Elegant overlay and powder blue.

Just a beautiful well made gown, looking effortless and like a shimmering goddess.

Badgley Mischka
Spring 2014

This is what the 20's would look like in 2014!
I seem to be drawn to the 20s & 30s era yet don't own any fringe in my closet.
I'm crazy mad about these looks. Quick someone host a 20's French party please!
The designers Mark Badgley & James Mischka were "inspired by photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue’s images of women in the French Riviera in the Twenties and Thirties"-wwd.com

Polka dot perfection with a cardi on top.

So many bra tops on the runways.
Not for everyones real life, but super pretty and done right by BM.

Can I have this? Badgley? Mischka? Tweet me.

Holy WOW. This would be a stunning bridal gown.

I absolutely love the simple top with the stunning skirt combo.
Gorg!

So many gowns so little time.
Can't wait for tomorrow's shows!

  1. Wow - the BM collection is just stumming!! I also love the 20's/30's era and this is such a modern take on it, just love it. Jenny Packham dresses are always so pretty. I found it interesting that you didn't incl. anything from Marc Jacobs because I wasn't that blown away by his show, a bit disappointed actually.
