Fab Five Friday: Can't wait to Fall for 2012 Shoes

This week my Fab Five Friday was inspired by Fall fashion 2012 shoe designs! It's not even Spring yet and I'm already excited about Fall shoes. Typical.

Here's your shoe candy, eat it up kids.

Need this, it can replace the staple nude shoe by adding some fun.

Instant street cred, I'll say.

Yes...for J. Crew. Don't get too excited ladies. I hear that they are in the running somewhere between $500-$600!

Not your mommas tweed shoes. With the neon painted on top of the tweed pattern, this is sooo urban chic.

I hope this sattisfied your shoe fix for now. A girl can never have too many shoes!

Which kicks are you most pumped for?

Who Wore It Better?

There's only soooo many times you can see a celebrity dressed up a tad ridiculous until you've had enough. This is my revenge of the quirks. I'm on to you and your style stealing ways!

Here's my "Who Wore It Better" for this week.

Betty Nicki or Veronica?

Personally I think Veronia rocked it. It's all about the posture. And her back up crew is much more lively too.

In case you missed it, here was the other one from Monday:

Mega Man or This chick crying for attention at the Grammy's Red Carpet Sasha Gradiva?

Post Valentines Day Style, Sweets & Surprises

I hope everyone had an amazing Valentines Day, (for those non vday believers: Tuesday)!
Kind of a late night post since my other lap top refuses to upload pictures now! Hmppffh... Guess it's almost time for an upgrade. Anyways, Valentines Day is always a great excuse to dress up all cute and bake something sweet. I also love a little DIY gift to a loved one. Here in this post you will see a little bit of it all. Because well I love, love. Enjoy!

And a Surprise!

My husband hooked it up! He surprised me with the Jason Wu for Target Cat Tote that I've been meowing about for weeks. I think it was just to quite me. Husband of the year.

Absolutely love it!
Here's where I get creative, I followed a little DIY from Lauren Conrads blog and created this dynamite Valentine! Thanks LC.

Thanks for checking out my style, sweets and surprises post today! If you have a post you did for Valentines please share with me here on the comments.

It's a Brad, Brad World: "Ciao Brad!"

It's a Brad, Brad MILAN!

Behind every good designer is a...stereotype?
Yep.

Brad & Gary's Fashion Show Designer Definitions:

Ferragamo: For when I want to be the daddy Italian
Versace: For when I want to dress like a rock and roll slut
Dsquared2: When I want to dress like a bigger slut

Gratuitous crotch shots from Bravo....

I loved seeing the hustle and bustle from fashion show hoping and all the outfit changes that Brad did. Dressing in your drivers cars before a show, now that's dedication.

OK my fave "real Brad & Gary moment" was the photo op. So typical. Why is it that the other half always seem to have trouble taking a decent blogger style photo! It must be some weird alternate couple universe where posing for what should be a simple quick picture is just never quick or simple! I love it!

LOVE that Brad is getting a taste of the blogging world. He was working on a Details blog while viewing fashion shows in Milan. And the look of shock when he found out it was more than cute pictures, and that he had to actually write things daily was priceless.

Also I hate to admit. I got a little teary eye when Brad & Gary were talking at the Italian restaurant and Gary told Brad how wonderful it was to be able to see Brad follow and living his dreams and how he gets to follow the dream with him. Now that ladies & gents, is a power couple.

Bradical Look of the week:

Brad in this hip teal blazer number which he was hooked up with from DSQUARED2 themselves! I would actually loooove to own a women's version of this blazer. It's totes awesome. And the fuschia pants...out of control.

Until next week, Ciao!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to my Fashion Palateers!
I started my day off with some Red Velvet Pancakes that I made for my sweets. It's sooo delicious and moist, you can taste the bit of coco. To die!
Here's my recipe I shared on Mode Bay Area last year: Red Velvet Heart Pancakes.

I hope everyone has something sweet planned for this beautiful day. I'm waiting for my husband to get home for work so we can have a fancy dinner in Saratoga tonight. I have my outfit planned, and my shoes picked out, nails are almost done. I'll share my V-day nail art today later on my Facebook Fan Page. Until then I have my delicious iced caramel mocha blended to devour while watching The Bachelor episode from last night! Go Courtney! (Yeah, I said it.).

Here's my furry little Valentine. He was trying to eat our pancakes..so this ended up on his head.

And here are some super funny Valentine's cards my husband gave me. It's uber geeky. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones then you might appreciate these :)

I'll share my outfit breakdown post tomorrow!

What are your plans for tonight?

Fab Five Friday: Loves & Stripes

This week was crazy, with all that Jason Wu for Target going on. At least for me, I've been driving myself crazy trying to find that tote bag! In between the madness, I managed to come across a few things that caught my eye and brightened my day. Here's my Fab Five Friday picks:

BTW did you hear Blake Lively was sent the entire spring 2012 collection!? -_-

 Lanvin from the Spring/Summer Runway.
I found a similar one here: Tarina Tarantino

Loving the color block and interesting geometric heel.

Duh! Obsessed! Did you know, a tote by Jason Wu normally retails for about $1,500. Who cares if it's from Target, Jason Wu still designed it!

Of course a heart sweater! Valentines is coming up ladies, this would be the perfect sweater to wear, and I'm all about the stripes. The drawn red hearts are a super cute touch too.

Hope you all have a great weekend planned! I'm going wine tasting in my new Jason Wu dress. Can't wait to wear it out finally. :)

Jason Wu for Target: The Cat's Meow

Somehow the Milu Cat Tote bag that I very much wanted to add to my handbag collection, managed to slip out of my hands. I was sooo disappointment that my local Target only stocked about five of these cuties. And they are mostly all on eBay being sold for much more than $39. :/ At least I managed to grab two items from the Jason Wu collection that I desired. Others weren't so lucky!

Anyways, the cat's out the bag and I was very much inspired by the cute kitty cat from the advertisement banner on the left side of the photos. [photo credit:www.jasonwustudio.com]

Since I'm just obssesed with this little guy I placed him in on my fingertips, where he belonged the whole time, after all he was the one that got away. This was probably the cutest advertisment I 've seen in a long time for a brand, so no wonder Jason Wu's Milu items were sold out in minutes.

I'm on a nail art craze right now, so I got the idea to re create Milu and this banner (notice the cat with paint on the tip of his tail) onto my nails.

Here's a few images on the steps I took to recreate a cat stencil simply made from white construction tag board.  I drew it, cut it out and then painted on top of my already painted gray nails with black. Later on I touched it up using a toothpick.

All eyes and details drawn on the nail were using a toothpick and black, white, and red nail polish.

Excuse the extra bits of nail polish around the fingers. I get a little messy when painting.

Here's the final product!

Kind of the cats pajamas right?

Maybe in a month items will be returned I can hopefully get my paws on that Milu! But at least I have some very whimsical nails to show off and they make me smile!

Jason Wu for Target: Wu Hoo!

Jason Wu is said to be the designer of this collaboration, but we all know it was really the mischievous little furry sweetheart (see ad campaign below) that put his paws on the finishing designs.

Ok not reaaally, but Jason Wu, self proclaimed "cat person" got his inspiration from this little cat character. The collection itself is deigned with Parisian influences and a little bit of whimsy! Jason Wu has been seen on the most fashionable, from Michelle Obama to Blake Lively. Not bad.

I was looking forward to Jason Wu for Target just as much as I anticipated the Missoni for Target Collaboration! I was so happy about how things turned out last time, with my stores location and the overall quality of the merchandise, I knew I had to do it again.  Each piece from the collection was under $50.

I of course had my eyes on the prizes, but with 15-ish people ahead of me in line, I had no chance at scoring the Milu tote bag that I had been coveting since day one. Why only five totes Target? Why?!

Alas, I will live. Having my own mews (muse) cheered me up! Take a look at my kitty The Cookie next to my Jason Wu dress.

Just like the commercial!

I did end up scoring the Sleeveless Pleated Shift Dress in Blush Stripes that was also on my list. It's super cute and will look so good this spring and summer wearing it out and about around the Bay Area.  I imagine wearing this at the beach, Marianne's ice cream in hand at Santa Cruz, or sipping wine in Napa Valley paired up with a hat.

I also was able to get my hands on a Collared Cap Sleeve Pleated blouse in red that was returned to the rack after a few minutes. I love it! And for $26 that's a steal. I will be color blocking it up with my Tiffany Blue belt and my red flats. Shown here:

All in all a sweet Target shopping trip. I just wished that they stocked more of those tote bags.

I love shopping sprees and peeking into other girls shopping bags. Did you brave the Jason Wu fiasco? What did you score? I'm dying to know!
