On my recent vacay to Waikiki I spotted a brand of nail polish at an ABC store exclusively made in USA and distributed in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was surprised and delighted by the variety of fun colors, the display looked like a tropical sunset over the ocean.
So I picked TWO. But I should've bought more...isn't that always the case? My Island Girl polish named " Aloha Girl $1.99, which is one of my favorite colors right now, a vivacious cobalt blue. And I couldn't pass up the "Mixables" for 3.99 which reminded me of a tropical flavored shave ice or maybe a Jamba Juice for us mainlanders.
I was intrigued by the three layers of different color nail polish and for a second even thought it would appear on my nails as it is in the bottle, with distinct sections. But my husband guaranteed it would not be that way.
He was right.
But it still had this pretty (and vague) ombre affect, a little mixture of orange, yellow and fuchsia with fun little specks of glitter in it.
It made me happy. And for that reason alone it was worth the purchase.
