Q-Pot: Have your desserts and wear them too.

I love fashion, I love desserts, so when I came upon this store called Q-Pot in Honolulu, I felt like a kid in a candy shop!

Q-pot is the cutest sweetest store filled with jewelry that looks like dessert!

They had a strict "no photography" rule. MAJOR bummer for any fashion blogger! But I was able to find pictures on the Q-Pot. USA facebook page so booyah!

But then the dilemma came, which one to choose??? I must've spent an hour in this store while my sweet husband patiently waited while I tried on like everything from petite french pastries to strawberry cupcakes.

My original intention was to buy the French Macaron necklace...

BUT after seeing the "Luxe Chocolat collection inspired by the finest of European indulgence," well problem solved.

This is what I came out with, try not to drool and refrain from eating my ring through the computer screen please. I know, it's even hard for me to resist. The texture is soft just like a real truffle! And I love the gold flake accent on top of the truffle, it appears to be the shape of Oahu! Is it just me?

One is not like the other...

By the way, those other bonsbons are handmade in Boston from L.A. Burdick.

A Burdickulously decadent collection!

I added the wrapper to the ring. Heheh.

I got to wear some pretty cool accessories for my 2nd anni dinner date ;) Mrs. necklace & Q-pot Truffle ring.

This is my FAVORITE boutique ever! Sadly it's located so very far away in Hawaii...BUT, there is good news folks! Starting November 12 Q-Pot will open up an online webstore for us to indulge in our sweetest fantasies!

Which is great because all that airfare to Hawaii can really add up.

Pick of The Palate...Christian Siriano for Payless

My Pick of The Palate for this weekend is by the much anticipated Christian Siriano for Payless collection.

Who likes designer shoes???

Who likes designer shoes on SALE???

Yes. Me too.

Ladies you have to check this sale out, Payless is already having a sale on Christian Siriano shoes and until Sunday 10/28 they are having an extra 30% off your whole purchase.

Visit the Payless FB page to get the coupon! Browse the shoes, they are selling out pretty fast too. I only saw three choices at my local Payless.

Let me tell you one thing about these shoes. I tried on all three types they offered in store and they were SUPER comfortable!

Here's my pick!

What do you think? Fierce or what? ;)

The Pick of The Palate: LC Lauren Conrad at Kohl's

Ooo two picks of my palate for this week!

I've always been a big fan of the LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohl's and the clothing just keeps getting cuter every season!

Upon seeing Tracy's Notebook of Style (on Facebook) favorites of LC's, I rekindled my love for the brand (it's been awhile since I shopped LC online). And purchased this Bow Lurex Sweater on SALE after coupons etc, for about $26. Retail price is $50. But you will always find a sale at Kohl's. Like today in store for instance it's $30! (If in doubt google Kohl's coupons, you will find plenty!)

Anyways it was my must-have item of her newest selection at Kohl's.

Buy it here:

Expect the compliments to come rolling in, everyone loves bows!

Like my matching beige/cream sweater socks? I got them at Kohl's too. Simply Vera by Vera Wang. Oh yeah. And on sale. That's how I do.

The Pick of The Palate: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M

We all tend to favor certain things from designer collections amiright? And being this semi neat freak I am, I decided to organize my likings a little bit better. I'm calling it "The Pick of The Palate." These will be my most fave, my must-have-item from any given collection!

Super excited. Let's begin with a recent collab that hits H&M select stores on November 15, 2012.
Maison Martin Margiela.

Super crazy collection! View it all here (ALL 100+ pieces) courtesy of Fashionista and decide for yourself.

Not only is this my must have pick of the collection, but it's actually a Fashion Palate first...It's my only pick! Everything else was a little too deconstructed for my taste. Conceptual, yes. Artistic, fer sure. But for me? Nah. EXCEPT that I'm actually pretty nuts about this clutch. Me want.

Playing Dress Up: Nicole Richie for Impluse at Macys

One of my favorite things to do is go and check out the latest colections in stores and try them on! I couldn't wait to see what Nicole Richie for Impulse had in store for us!

If you didn't get to see any of it in person, well there are slim pickings left in store. You may still be able to snag a few if you shop online at Macys.

These are a few of my favorite pieces from her collection.

Sapphire blue top with faux leather sleeves and collar.

Very hip and boho faux leather dress
Pretty blue tunic, the looseness and design is very House of Harlow.

A few color blocked sweaters on the racks.

Love the button details!

 Tuxedo jacket with satin trim.

 More details the better!

So a couple weeks later I couldn't keep my mind off that cobalt blue tunic. Here's how I styled it!

Lace Cut Out Blouse - Nicole Richie for Impulse
Belted with Forever 21
Black w/vegan leather side panel leggings - BP Nordstrom
Booties (past season) Aldo

Jewelry borrowed from Stella & Dot.
Fox Ring- Alice Temperly for Stella & Dot

Kate Spade New York: Honolulu Favorites

Very sneaky husband, taking pictures of me taking pictures of my favorite. store. ever.

On my anniversary trip (why do I keep stopping myself from saying honeymoon? That was like two years ago...) I did some shopping in Waikiki. Surprise, surprise. A lot of window shopping actually.

A girl has priorities ya know....priorities that require sipping drinks out of pineapples! Man those were expensive.

OK I am easily distracted, more so today. Back to Kate Spade New York.
Here are a few of my favorite things from the boutique in Hawaii.

Fur coat and red!
Not sure why you would need this in Hawaii? Nice to vacation to but for the sake of fashion I'm glad I don't live there!

Totally cute to boot. They look like little doll rain boots :D These will be wish listed.

So I'm in love with this dictionary clutch...the drawback, well it really looks like you are carrying around a full size dictionary. Kind of odd when you think about it.

And then I saw this faux wood grain clutch. New favorite.

And wood grain wallets!

Gawking at these strands of pearls outside.... I have to wait for the 30th anniversary present? REALLY?

Hope you enjoyed my favorite fashion picks from Kate Spade Hawaii!
What was your favorite conversation piece?

Nail Polish Hawaiian Style!

On my recent vacay to Waikiki I spotted a brand of nail polish at an ABC store exclusively made in USA and distributed in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was surprised and delighted by the variety of fun colors, the display looked like a tropical sunset over the ocean.

So I picked TWO. But I should've bought more...isn't that always the case? My Island Girl polish named " Aloha Girl $1.99, which is one of my favorite colors right now, a vivacious cobalt blue. And I couldn't pass up the "Mixables" for 3.99 which reminded me of a tropical flavored shave ice or maybe a Jamba Juice for us mainlanders.

I was intrigued by the three layers of different color nail polish and for a second even thought it would appear on my nails as it is in the bottle, with distinct sections. But my husband guaranteed it would not be that way.

He was right.

Damn it.

But it still had this pretty (and vague) ombre affect, a little mixture of orange, yellow and fuchsia with fun little specks of glitter in it.

It made me happy. And for that reason alone it was worth the purchase.
