Boston Boutique's: Cute & Quirky Finds!

Doesn't matter what kind of trip I take, there's either A: Fashion or B: Sweets involved. And boy will I find them!

Today I will be focusing on A: Fashion.

Boston did not disappoint. If you are a fashion girl like myself, then Boston is the place to shop.

Here are some great finds, so if you ever find yourself over in these parts make sure to check them out.

Stone Flower: @Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston.
A true story of a two story Boutique...FILLED WITH BOWS. And a few O/S fits all dresses too!

My breathe was taken away as the first floor was covered in bows (color coordinated). I literally wanted to squeal hella loud but yeah.

More Bows!

Stone Flower specializes in one size fits all clothing.

Do you die for these pearl hangers?

Look what I got:

Bows of course! All handmade.

And a Peplum polka dot peter pan collar top!
How could I resist? Sooo stinkin cute.

This store definitely channeled my inner Zooey Deschanel! Ultimate girly and retro fabulousness.

Obviously that was my favorite place to shop in Boston! Next stop...
Shopping expedition on Newbury Street

Lipstick: on Newbury St, Boston. AKA: felt like mini NYC with all those people!
Def. recommend this fashion boutique, everything is under $60 bucks.

Loving my Fox ruby-esque crystal ring!

I call him Foxy.
 We are besties.
Pinkyoto: on Newbury St., Boston

Everything was around the price range of $100-200. Very chic items.

How could I pass up a store where the mannequins are wearing bear heads???

My next stop threw me for a loop. Hello Second Time Around!

Second Time Around: on Newbury St., Boston

Second time around is a consignment shop with designer luxury items! Louboutins, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, you name it!
OK so the reason why I threw my coffee on the sidewalk and ran inside was because you may or may not remember me writing my recaps for this Bravo show called "Fashion Hunters." Well its the same store, just not the one located in NYC.
See here: fashion hunters.

I hope this show gets picked up this season. It was honestly like taking a fashion merchandising class, minus the Barneys Ambassador showing up periodically!

Anyways, I hope you found my shopping adventures as thrilling as I do participating in them! (And not how my husband feels partaking in them, let's not go there :P Thanks Love!)

Have you shopped in Boston before? What was your favorite store?

Like this blog post if you like bows! LOL.

The Fashion Palate meets Georgetown Cupcake

If you ever watched DC Cupcakes on television then you know what all the fuss was about when I figured out that there was a location in Boston, it was a pleasant surprise to say the least. I just happened to be visiting Boston last week so this was a cupcake shop I just HAD to visit, being the cupcake connoisseur that I strive to be.

I never thought I would be able to actually taste a "DC cupcake"and I didn't have any expectations for what the cakes must taste like.

I proceeded to choose the Mint Cookies & Cream (also my fave ice cream combo) while my love choose the Caramel Apple cupcake.

Two words: BLOWN AWAY.

Wicked delicious, these had to be one of the best cupcakes ever. I'll put it on my top 5 list.

The cupcake is moist and soft and tastes soooo fresh while the frosting looks heavy, its absolutely not, it melts away like cotton candy to your tongue. And it's not SWEET. You know those cupcakes where the frosting gives you that feeling like your teeth are disintegrating into each bite, yeah not with these.

Totally worth the wait if you ever are near one (yes there's a line out the wazoo just to get a bite of these delicious little things).

As you can tell I'm a fan and serious about cupcakes.
;)

P.s. This lime green blinged out Swarovski crystal Kitchen Aid stand mixer was peeking out behind the cupcake pans! Hello lover!

Brunette down! Natalie Portman goes...BLONDE.

Hey brunettes...we lost another one today.

Nah I'm j/k, blonde's are cool too. I'm just saying, Natalie Portman looked way hotter as a brunette.

Thoughts?

This is what I do with my life btw.

The Fashion Palate Field Day. Whateva.

(Hey Fishes) No cupcakes for you!

Oh my gosh what a WICKED awesome week it has been! Went to Boston and saw so many attractions, shopped and ate every cupcake in sight. Witnessed a wedding and met up with my college roommate who I haven't seen since 2005! I feel tremendously old and exhausted, but I love all the memories that were made this weekend.  I can't wait to share some fashion and food pics I took in Boston. Until then here's a hint of the cuteness and deliciousness that was had!

My latest adventure in Styling: Boutique Catwalk for Teal

If you are following me on Facebook, like most of you are, then you noticed that I have been posting pics of models in super cute trendy clothing.

I Photographed this photo with some Photoshop edits and made it the Kiss`Tique Fanpage cover photo. As the social media Marketing Manager of the shop I also manage most of the Fanpage, along with Heather the Owner. So stop by and say hi to me and LIKE us!

My latest styling gig consisted of styling looks for a fashion show that took place at Kiss`Tique a clothing and accessory boutique in Los Gatos.

I also baked my Fashionably Cake goods (S'mores cupcakes & Kitty Cake pops), and Photographed  the event.

It was sooooo much fun and I can't wait to do it again (which will be for a different fashion show in October!)

"Boutique Catwalk for Teal" on September 8, 2012. It was a preview fashion show of a designer Claire Farwell London (the full fall line was seen the following weekend at the annual Saratoga Toasting to Teal: ovarian cancer fundraiser fashion show.) & Kiss`Tique fashions to raise awareness of Ovarian cancer.

The models hair was styled by Mimi of Drywalk in Los Gatos. Nina Noir & Delphine Winter sashayed throughout the store and held poses (and scared many old and young people at that!) in the window display of the store. The models were fantastic and looked like Barbies in a toy store window!

I love seeing ideas I think are kind of crazy...well come to life!

Here's a link to the photo album I posted on Kiss`Tique's FB page:

The Shops at Target: Kirna Zabete

I've been having so much fun browsing at all the new Target Shops. Kirna Zabete caught my eye again and again. The clothing in person looks great, and for around 30-200 dollars you get quite the deal for stylish threads.

I took a couple of shots of some styles that were cute!

Almost bought this one. Cute functional pockets and faux leather trim. I ended up putting it down. Good thing though, I realized later that I have pretty much the SAME dress at home but from Modcloth!

Super cute clothes, and note that I did not find any of the $200 items at my Target. I'm guessing they sell better online anyway.

Anyway have a favorite they saw?

Stay tuned for another in store visit to this time....Macys! Can you guess what I went to see?
